Author Biography

Sheila Powell

Sheila Powell has worked as an archivist at the National Archives of Canada since 1986. She currently manages the Social, Native, and Foreign Affairs Records Section in the Government Archives and Records Disposition Division. She received her MA in Canadian History from Carleton University in 1987, specializing in women's history. Sheila was General Editor of Archivaria from 1996 to 1998. Her main research interest is archival appraisal.
